The Just For Mom Foundation’s mission is to support, nurture and inspire the person who takes care of everyone else: Mom!
Annually, the Mom’s Choice Awards recognize and honor authors, inventors, companies, parents and others for their efforts in creating quality, family-friendly media products and services.
In November 2007 Lullaby for a Child received the Mom’s Choice Gold Medal for illustration. The citation praised its excellence as a creation specifically designed to support families and children through its stunningly illustrated message that speaks and sings of God’s ever-present, all-inclusive care.
Judges included authors, educators, health and media professionals, moms, dads, grandparents – and children. Their assessment was that Lullaby’s illustrations are outstanding, with imaginative, colorful, eye-catching details that support and enhance the book’s message.
Award-winning illustrator James Staunton’s work has graced advertising, editorial, multi-media and children’s markets since 1985. Based in San Diego, California, his company, Trompe L’Oeil Mural Art, serves residential and business clients. An accomplished muralist and portrait painter, he is able to fill small canvasses or super-sized walls with equal ease, creativity and beauty. Jim’s Lullaby for a Child illustrations mark his return to a first love, illustrating for the children’s market.
